SHEPERD'S CROOK BUNK HOUSE
The idea to call this bunkhouse ''Shepherd's Crook'' came from my Grandfather Fred, he came to live here with his family in 1929 and bought the farm in 1954.
He was a great character and a fine maker of Shepherd's Crooks. His picture hangs in pride of place in the bunkhouse.
He passed the farm down to his son Antony, my father, whom I followed, and now my son Thomas is the fourth generation
''waiting in the wings'' to follow in the family footsteps.

Can't understand why we were the only people here when we stayed. I would expect a bunkhouse to be much more basic. This as a really cosy building with a very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and good showers.
