Here at the Farmhouse B&B the majority of our visitors are walkers doing the famous Coast to Coast walk created by Alfred Wainwright who first visited the Lake District in 1907 and was totally transfixed. In 1973 he devised and wrote about a long distance walk he had created from St Bees to Robin Hoods Bay, 190 miles long and now one of the most walked routed in the UK. Noran Bank is ideally situated being only 5 minutes walk away.
Dating back to 1617, the farmhouse still has the original oak beams and is suitably furnished to maintain the character of the house. There are two letting bedrooms which can accommodate a maximum of 5 residents.
Bedroom 1 has a super king size bed and 1 single bed serving as a family, double or twin , or a 3 single bedded room.
Bedroom 2 is a twin bedded room. For both bedrooms there is a shared bathroom with shower over the bath, hand basin and toilet. Both rooms have Tea/Coffee making facilities and a hairdryer.

Three of us stayed in the B&B triplet room on our C2C walk. The house is beautiful, and the welcome was warm and inviting. We arrived very early having taken the low route through the day (avoiding Helvellyn and St Sunday due to bad weather), but checking in early was no problem. I probably had my very best night's sleep on the entire trip in their amazing beds!
Stayed here for a wedding which was in Glenridding a couple of miles away.
Very friendly welcome and showed promptly to our rooms which were great. Hosts were very friendly and attentive especially considering it's a working farm!
Place was excellent with plenty of space and tea and coffee facilities in the room. Fantastic breakfast in the morning in a comfortable dining and living room.
Heather is very kind and rooms are very comfortable.
